The dynomometer is essentially a treadmill for your vehicle! With a car, truck, motorhome or motorcycle on the dyno we are able to simulate driving conditions off the road! We are able to watch fuel pressure, horsepower, air/fuel ratio, torque, see misfire's in the data graph, and much more.
Dyno tuning is a systematic approach to engine tuning. Dyno tuning allows us to give your vehicle a tune-up of unparalleled quality, providing you with the smoothest, most economical performance possible from your vehicle. To properly tune your car and program the computer for the best performance and fuel economy under all loads and driving conditions, your car needs to be on a dyno with full load control. Without a dyno the tuning can get close. But nothing makes engine tuning more precise than a full load dyno machine, like we use at The Dyno Shop. For each RPM range our dyno can put various loads on your car to simulate all conditions on the road or on the track. With the assistance of the Dyno we are able to simulate different driving/load conditions, diagnose drivability issues “in the shop” (while using other diagnostic equipment, i.e. scanner, scopes, gauges and meters), check horsepower, torque, and air/fuel ratio. Whether it be vintage autos from the turn of the century, muscle cars of the 60’s and 70’s or the latest electronic fuel injected vehicles, we can improve your driving experience! Just your run of the mill grandma's Caddy, right? Wrong! This 1966 Cadillac is what we call a "sleeper." With a Chevrolet 6.0 Vortex LS Engine, this bad boy is ready to race!
We'd love to see your "sleeper" cars. Post a pic in tge comnents below. If your needing help with your project car we are here!! Daylight saving time starts this Sunday and I'm stoked!! There's so much more time to accomplish things around the house or car with the extra hours of daylight we gain. I don't know about you, but I'm going to be spending more time outside with kids and working on the yard. Just think, your commute home from work won't be in the dark!!!
With the extra light hours in the evening you can show your vehicle some of that attention you've been meaning to do all winter long. Like cleaning all the clutter and trash out, vacuuming the seats and floors, and even washing/detailing the outside. There are also plenty of preventative checks you can make at home before your vehicle needs to come see us! You can check all fluid levels, tire pressure/tread depth, fuse block, and air filter condition. So don't forget, before you go to bed Saturday night set your clock one hour ahead. We here at The Dyno Shop hope you find fun ways to take advantage of the extra sunlight time! |
